“Songwriting is magick in it’s purest form. The fact that you can pick up a guitar, strum some chords, hum a melody, write some lyrics, bring it to the studio, record it, release it, have the worlds ears listen to it, even love it! That never ceases to simply blow my mind. It’s a privilege, it’s a delicate responsibility, it’s wild!
Conor Heary is an Irish songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist based in London, UK. Conor’s musical journey began over 20 years ago after begging his Dad for months to buy him a drum kit. Finally, one special summer his Dad reluctantly handed over €300 for some drums and he never looked back since. Conor spent the next 2 decades gigging extensively around Ireland and the U.K. Conor currently plays drums and is co-songwriter for London alt/punk rock band Barking Poets while working for UMG based at Abbey Road Studios, London.
